EC revises voters list for Gujarat Assembly seats

State EC has decided to revise the electoral rolls of 19 seats of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.

The State Election Commission has decided to revise the electoral rolls of 19 seats of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly falling under Ahmedabad City and District limits.

The authorities have asked the voters to register the omissions or objections, inclusion or deletion of their names from the existing voters list, between June 15 and July 7, a release said.

The voters could approach the district election office or that of assistant election officer, nearest post office or the polling booth during a special campaign on June 24 and 25, and July 1 and 2.

The activity has been taken up under the direction of Election Commission of India for the 19 Assembly seats, namely Dhandhuka, Dholka, Bavla, Mandal, Viramgam, Sarkhej, Daskroi, Sabarmati, Ellisbridge, Dariapur-Kazipur, Shahpur, Kalupur, Asarwa, Rakhial, Shaherkotda, Khadia, Jamalpur, Maninagar and Naroda.

The cut-off date for effecting the change is June one, the release added.
