Few months ago, the district administration had even suspended some of these revenue officials and terminated the services of 13 computer operators, when it detected that these officials were allegedly responsible for causing loss to the state exchequer. “Case has been registered against eight revenue officials of Faridabad and Ballabgarh under 409/420/120B etc of IPC,” said Balwant Singh, police spokesman of Faridabad. The accused against whom the case has been registered have been identified as Jai Singh, Surinder, Kamal Singh, Ashok Kumar, Sumir Singh, Prakash Chand, Pankaj and Sukhbir Singh. These officials were posted in Faridabad and Ballabgarh tehsils. During the investigation, the district administration found that some registry official posted in Faridabad and Ballabgargh deposited fewer amount as stamp duty and were attached fake receipt numbers to the computerised registries showing that balance amount has also been paid.
