Australia's captain Adam Gilchrist paid rich tributes to his team after they clinched their first series in India in 35 years with a 342-run romp in the third Test on Friday.

"This is an emotional moment for all of us," said Gilchrist after the tourists bowled out India for 200 on the fourth day to take a decisive 2-0 lead in the four-match series.
Gilchrist, who led the tourists in the first three Tests in the absence of the injured Ricky Ponting, said "the entire team contributed to the success in true Australian spirit."
"It was a wonderful achievement, very fulfilling and right up there with the best."
Gilchrist also remembered his predecessor Steve Waugh, who termed India the 'final frontier' after his 2001 side were defeated 2-1 in one of the most enthralling three-match series ever played.
Then, India lost the first Test in three days but fought back to win the next two despite being made to follow-on 274 runs behind in the second Test at Kolkata.
"We remember you Steve, I hope you watched this one," said Gilchrist of Waugh, who retired from Test cricket earlier this year.
