Employment fair held in Samba

Planning minister Ajay Sadhotra inaugurated one-day Employment Fair at Kehli Mandi ground in Samba district on Friday, for awareness of general public, especially, the unemployed youth about the self-employment schemes being implemented by various departments ,including employment, agriculture, rural development, animal husbandry, sheep husbandry etc.

Various departments functioning in Samba had set up their stalls for highlighting their activities and also displayed the finished goods at the fair.

Sadhotra assured that the department would continue giving the focused attention towards unemployed youth as various schemes have been launched by the government for assisting the youth and farmers to set up their self employment enterprises.
He added such programmes, besides, encouraging the youth also help in developing cordial relationship between the department and the local people.

He called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth towards entrepreneurship to become job providers instead of job seekers.
Officers and experts from different departments were also present on the occasion.
