Lambasting over the other political parties for ignoring the ideology and preferring winning candidate having sound financial background, he said Congress had allotted the party ticket to a grass root worker.
While expressing his views, Patel claimed that Congress could come up to the expectation of people. He said the party was sincerely contesting the local body elections, as it is a semi-final before the final UP assembly election.
Sharing his views, on this occasion, the state secretary of the party, Dr Syed Jamal demanded that the election commission should strictly observed the expenses of the candidate and election code of conduct should be strictly implemented. He claimed that SP and BSP candidate would face defeat as they had failed to raise the public grievances and resolve their problems.
Party leader Sanjay Tripathi appealed the party workers to launch a movement against the communal forces and political leaders who were persuading caste and communal politics.
Hitting hard on the saffron brigade leaders, Congress candidate for mayoral post Ramesh Gupta said, “the temples and mosques are the place of faith and their political use should be checked”.
He further added that the politics in name of religion should be stopped and claimed that his victory is confirmed as he enjoys people’s support.
