Addressing officers of the Integrated Child Development Scheme, health department and Child Development Project at his camp office on Thursday, the DM said Anganwadi workers were expected to take personal care of the children so that they looked neat and clean on Hygiene Day.

He said Anganwadi workers were also expected to take an active interest in family planning camps.

Anganwadi workers who would motivate at least 10 people to undergo a family planning operation would be felicitated, he added.

“The district Child Development Project officer will also be honoured if his staff members manage to send a certain number of people to the sterilisation camp.

On basis of their achievement in the family planning programme, at least three block development officers will also be felicitated at the district headquarters,” the DM said.

On the demand of the district panchayati raj adhikari Ram Ratan Singh Yadav, the DM approved a separate camp at Koraon development block headquarter.

The DPRO assured the DM that more than 368 sterilisation cases would be conducted at the family planning camp at the district panchayat office on January 24.

ICDS supervisors and child development project officers complained against some Anganwadi workers posted under them, who did not comply with their orders. The DM has demanded a list of all these workers.
