EPFO to meet on Saturday

The Central Board of Trustees for Employees Provident Fund Organisation is slated to meet on Saturday.

The Central Board of Trustees for Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is slated to meet on Saturday amid speculation of a 0.5 per cent cut in interest rate to be paid to its subscribers in the current fiscal.

The present rate of interest being paid to the over 40 million EPF subscribers is 8.5 per cent. The Central Board of Trustees is also likely to firm up a decision on investing part of the funds in stock market.
