According to information, the three accused - Vijay, Buntty and Pappu – had been troubling the girl, a resident of Sharda Gali, for the past several days. A few days ago, the three reportedly went to her house on the first floor of a building and brought her to the street, puling her by her hair and beat her up severely. They also roughed up her parents.
The police registered a case under Section 294 and 506 against the named accused, but they were unable to arrest them even after two days.
The incident sent waves of anger among the people over deteriorating law and order situation in Nagda. Meanwhile, Nagda TI Fatehbadhur Singh said police parties had been sent to Ratlam, Jaora and other places and the accused would be nabbed soon.
