Asking the MPCA to deposit the entertainment tax within seven days, the notice served by the Department has told the cricket body that entertainment tax would constitute 50 per cent of total collections received as entry fee.

Assistant Excise Commissioner Nawal Singh Jamod told this newspaper that in case the cricket body fails to respond, the Department would undertake suo moto assessment of the ODI income and expenditure or hold parleys with MPCA office-bearers to expedite the recovery process.
