According to an official release, State Minister for Culture Laxmikant Sharma would inaugurate the exhibition on January 15. Historic documents and photographs related to the march would be put on display at the exhibition.

It may be recalled that Mahatma Gandhi started the Dandi March on March 20, 1930 from the Sabarmati Ashram at Ahmedabad to protest against the Salt law of the British rule. He ended the march on April 5,1930 at Dandi village and on the very next day he picked natural salt to symbolically protest against the salt law.

The exhibition would be open for public from January 16 till 20 between 11am and 8 pm. The entry to the exhibition is free of charge.
