Eye specialists share views on innovations

MORE THAN 100 technical papers in the field of ophthalmology were presented on the second day of the 64th All India Ophthalmological Conference ?Antar Drishti 2006? today.

MORE THAN 100 technical papers in the field of ophthalmology were presented on the second day of the 64th All India Ophthalmological Conference ‘Antar Drishti 2006’ today.

The main themes of today’s technical sessions were cornea and cataract. Several eminent ophthalmologists from India and abroad read out their papers and shared views about latest techniques and innovations in the medical field.

The main speakers for the day included Dr Dinesh Talwar, Dr Vajpayee, Dr Raju from the USA and other specialists. One of the main topics of presentation was small incision cataract surgery. A large number of doctors and other delegates attended the technical sessions that were held at the Minto Hall of the Old Vidhan Sabha.

Later in the evening, a general body meeting of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) was conducted. Dr R B Jain President AIOS chaired the meeting.
