Fab India?s special counter at bhopal Haat

THE DEPARTMENT of Rural Development’s ongoing handlooms and handicrafts fair ‘Basant Mela’ at Bhopal Haat has witnessed a special counter of Fab India – which has showcased its unique handloom products.
The New Delhi-based Fab India, which has made its presence felt globally through its exclusive handloom products for men & women, has come up with its range at Bhopal Haat. Fab India Indore’s store manager Manu Hasija said Fab India, which has been using the Chanderi fabric products from MP, would explore opportunities to tie-up with other products from various districts.
“Chanderi products like sari and dupattas fall in our premium range,” she said. Hasija said Fab India would also explore possibilities of opening a store in Bhopal. “Our marketing head would also visit the fair to study possibilities with local artisans, but the products have to comply our quality standards,” she added.
The Mela, to be continued till February 28, has showcased the products of artisans from different districts of MP. “Focus would be on Bhopal and Indore divisions, but other districts would also be represented,” said Rural Development Department’s Nair K S V.
He said associating with Fab India would give local artisans a bigger canvas and value-addition. Apart from garments, the fair has linen, upholsteries, carpets, jute & cane products and handicrafts.
