Fake licence maker held

THE TILA Jamalpura police have arrested a man for fraudulently making driving licenses with the help of photography equipments and a photocopy machine at his studio.

THE TILA Jamalpura police have arrested a man for fraudulently making driving licenses with the help of photography equipments and a photocopy machine at his studio. According to police, PS Saji, who owns Archana Photo Studio at the Regiment Road in Shahjehanabad area was making forged driving licenses.

The police got information that he was using the coloured photocopier to get facsimile of the driving license Smart Card. He superimposed the photograph of the person on any license and took out the copy of it.

At first glance it looked quite the original card. Using a card he had superimposed the photographs of many persons and gave them the fake cards. He charged Rs 300 for every such forged card.

The police raided the studio and caught him. The machine and other paraphernalia used in the forgery have been seized.
The accused has been booked for fraud and forgery. The Tila Jamalpura police have recovered at least six different forged driving license cards and are interrogating Saji.
