Few options for civic body coveted post
With many local politicians losing MCG election held on May 15, the Haryana government is left with no choice but to back one for the post of mayor out of the newly-elected 25 independent councillors.

With many local politicians losing MCG election held on May 15, the Haryana government is left with no choice but to back one for the post of mayor out of the newly-elected 25 independent councillors.
Besides some experienced faces such as Subhash Singla, former vice-chairman of the erstwhile municipal council, a few young faces now seem to be in the race for the coveted post.
Those who are in the fray include former municipal councillor Yashpal Batra, former district councillor Mahesh Dayma and Rama Rani Rathee, wife of GCC member RS Rathee.
