Film City murder: Woman’s identity still not known
Nearly six months after a 25-year-old woman’s body was found near at Film City in Goregaon, the police have not been able to identify her.
Nearly six months after a 25-year-old woman’s body was found near at Film City in Goregaon, the police have not been able to identify her.
A security guard found the body, with the head crushed with a stone, on April 1. No identification or a mobile phone was found on the victim, who was dressed in a grey T-shirt and capri.
There was no missing person complaint registered so the police circulated photographs of the deceased to all police stations in the city as well as to other cities. They also printed the photo in several newspapers, but so far nobody has come forward to claim the body.
“We are still trying to establish the woman’s identity. Unless we succeed in doing that, it is difficult to solve the case,” said Ramrao Pawar, additional commissioner of police (north region). A case of murder has been registered against an unidentified person.
