Five killed, 15 injured as bus falls into gorge in HP

Five people, including a couple, were killed and 15 injured when a bus in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near village Taona, some 60-km from Mandi, on Saturday.

The ill-fated bus, carrying some 25 passenges, was on its way from Mandi to Kharot when the accident occurred, DSP Balbir Singh said.

All the five bodies had been recovered, he said adding the dead included a couple.

The injured, four of them in critical condition, were admitted to various hospitals.

The exact cause of the accident was not yet known but passengers attributed it to rash driving.
