According to the family, Sanjeet was on a visit to the shrine with his friends when he last talked to his brother on June 15. He had told that he was in Rambara in the Kedarnath area. Since then there is no information of him.

His friends who accompanied Sanjee are safe.

His relatives rushed to Kedarnath, but could not trace him. They registered a complaint at Rishikesh police station on June 26. Five months on, but the family has no clue of Sanjeet.
Later, Sanjeet's family approached the Jammu divisional commissioner and the latter sought a report from the Doda deputy commissioner regarding the missing youth.

The deputy commissioner sent a letter to the Doda tehsildar on August 8 regarding the missing person. In response, the tehsildar said since Sanjeet has not reached his home safely and his whereabouts remain unknown, he may kindly be included in the final authenticated list of missing persons.

The family has now appealed to public across the country that if anybody has any reports or any clue about the said person, it may kindly be intimated to the authorities concerned or police on humanitarian grounds.

The Doda deputy commissioner on Saturday wrote to the Jammu divisional commissioner regarding the person missing in Uttarakhand.
