Two flights of Air India Express and an Emirates flight from the Gulf sector to Kozhikode landed here after they were diverted due to heavy rains and poor visibility in the Kozhikode airport.

AIE's Sharjah-Kozhikode flight with 132 passengers and 6 crew and Doha-Kozhikode flight with 70 passengers and 6 crew landed at the airport here this morning due to inclement weather at Kozhikode Airport, Air India sources told PTI.

Later the Dubai-Kozhikode flight of Emirates with 400 passengers also landed the airport here, the sources said.

Passengers of the Sharjah flight were sent to Kozhikode by buses while the Doha flight was expected to be operated if the weather improves.
