Forest dept: New clearance system delays payment

The new system is causing unnecessary delay in payment. Forest Department staff Shankar Naik informed that earlier employees and officers used to receive salary on the first of every month but with introduction of this system many employees have not received salary of the current month.

He said the employees were facing lots of problems as the new academic session also begins from July. Sources said that the family of a forest guard Kishore Verma, who died recently, has also not received ex-gratia which was earlier cleared in 24 hours.

Earlier pay bills, bills of office expenses and salary bills of forest department staff were cleared by the office in-charge concerned but from this month most of the bills of forest Department staff are being cleared by treasury which is causing unnecessary delay in payment.
