Three KNLF insurgents and a suspected UPDS cadre were apprehended with arms and ammunition by army in central Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Tuesday.

Troops of the 5 Rajputana Rifles nabbed the Kuki National Liberation Front and United Peoples Democratic Solidarity extremists at Rangapara, near Deupani under Bokajan police station, defence sources said.

A China-made m-20 pistol with six rounds of live ammunition were recovered from them, the sources said.

The trio was handed over to police for further investigations, the sources added.
