Four women buried alive in Faridabad

Four women, including a girl, were buried alive when a mound of earth caved in near Tigaon area in Faridabad on Saturday. Senior police and civil officials rushed to the spot after the incident. HT reports.

The incident occurred when a group of women from Tigaon village were busy digging. Suddenly, the mound of earth caved and buried them alive. The villagers rushed to the spot after hearing other women shouting for help. All the four victims were rushed to a private hospital in Sector 8 where they were declared dead.

The deceased were identified as Batasoo, 65, Bhatti, 50, Sunita, 27 and Preeti, 12.

The bodies of the deceased were later shifted to BK Hospital for post-mortem. The bodies were handed over to their family members late on Saturday for last rites.
