Four years imprisonment awarded to Pak national

A local court in Jammu awarded four-and -half-years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1000 to a Pakistani national who intruded into Indian territory and attacked a police party in Poonch district.

A local court in Jammu awarded four-and -half-years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1000 to a Pakistani national who intruded into Indian territory and attacked a police party in Poonch district.

The third additional sessions judge of Jammu, RS Jain, on Saturday awarded Pakistani national Noor Mohammad the sentence under Foreigners Act.

According to the 'challan' presented by the police, the Pakistani national entered into J&K in January 2004 with an intention to create trouble and on May 4, 2004, threw a grenade on a police party in which some cops sustained injuries.
