D Sivaraj, President of the movement, said in a release today that the resolution recalled the distinct services of the great leader Reddy had rendered for the growth of the Congress in that state and also for the welfare of the poor and the deprived sections of people.
He said the movement would also send petitions to President Pratibha Patil seeking to resolve the issue of their pension. These freedom fighters fought for liberation of Puducherry from the French regime, but their plea for pension had been kept in the 'cold storage', he said.
