The Shree Prajapati Association, a Birmingham-based community group, has raised nearly 6,000 pounds to help bring sight to villagers in India.
The association recently held fundraising events to raise funds for the Rotary Eye Institute in Navsari, Gujarat.
The institute runs a mobile operating theatre that sets up temporary eye camps in isolated and inaccessible villages in Gujarat to screen people for symptoms of cataracts and provide treatment.
