Germany to invest more in Haryana

Haryana is likely to get more investment from German companies in the near future, Germany's ambassador to India Thomas Matussek has hinted to state's Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, officials said today.

Haryana is likely to get more investment from German companies in the near future, Germany's ambassador to India Thomas Matussek has hinted to state's Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, officials said on Tuesday.

Matussek has evinced keen interest in visiting Haryana's prominent Industrial Model Townships and industrial estates and organise meetings of German entrepreneurs to explore more opportunities in Haryana, a state government spokesman said after a meeting between Matussek and Hooda.

Haryana has scripted a success story in industrial estates, especially in the national capital region (NCR) of Delhi, in Gurgaon, Manesar, Bawal, Kundli and Sonipat.

"German companies are happy doing business in Haryana and are flourishing," Matussek told Hooda, adding that German companies were looking at investing in India since China had reached a saturation point.

Presently, Haryana has 95 German companies with an investment of Rs 433 crore.
