"The girl was admitted at the Kasturba Hospital at 11.30 am after she was found to be suffering from fever and cough," Dr U H Gavande, Deputy Director General of Health Service, said.

"She was coming to the city from Bangkok and was brought to the hospital from the airport," he said.

The throat swabs of the girl have been sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for tests and the results are expected tomorrow, he said.

So far, there have been 22 suspected cases of H1N1 virus reported in the state, all of which have tested negative so far.
