?Give importance to our culture?

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA State organiser Mukul Kanitkar today said that it is important that we stop criticising our country and give due importance to our culture. Today India is in a position of giving a lot to the world, but it is matter of regret that the younger generation has stopped being proud of its motherland.

Kanitkar was speaking at a programme organised by regional unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at the Subhash School for Excellence to mark the Youth Fortnight on occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

He mentioned that Swami Vivekananda was someone, who always stood very erect and proud saying that only human being have been given the ability to stand erect. Narrating an incident, Kanitkar said that once a Briton asked Vivekananda why he stood so erect and what was he so proud of. Vivekananda replied that he was an Indian and proud of his motherland.

This, Kanitkar, said should be a lesson for the younger generation. ABVP City secretary Vyomkesh Shukla spoke about the activities planned by the ABVP during the Youth Fortnight. Subhash School Principal Rajesh Tiwari presided over the function.

The prgramme was conducted by Manish Pandeya. Mukesh Tyagi, Balendra Singh Kushwah, Saurabh Jain, Deepak Kaushal, Vipin Thakur and other office-bearers of the ABVP were present.
