It was screened at BJP national vice president Venkaiah Naidu’s New Delhi residence ahead of the screening at Samanvay Bhavan here on December 3. L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj looked more emotional with tears rolling down their cheeks. Atal Bihari Vajpayee gestured in admiration, claimed Bharadwaj.

He told Hindustan Times that the film is a tribute to his ideal Guru Golwalkar, and that’s why he did not charge any money for his service.

“I think it was for the second time when Lord Krishna chose me to do some momentous work. The first time, He chose my body and face to manifest Himself in B R Chopra’s mega TV serial Mahabharat”, said Bharadwaj.

The documentary took almost 18 months to complete. He said the entire documentary was made at Bhopal and it was all the local artistes who acted in it and performed excellently. That showed that Bhopal has outstanding talents that only needed proper platform and guidance.

He said this documentary feature was made by the RSS; hence the script he finalised was subjected to scrutiny by the organisation leaders. But there was no interference from it during the shooting, he insisted.

Bharadwaj said during research on Guru Golwalkar he learnt a lot about his virtues. Now, he has resolved to stick to the values - sincerity to work, honesty, positive attitude and patience.

He said he had told the RSS that he would be more than happy to be part on its similar projects in future.
