GoM to decide on airport regulator proposal

The Union Cabinet on Monday decided to refer a proposal on creating an Airport Economic Regulatory Authority to a Group of Ministers.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wanted the matter to be referred to the GoM comprising Finance, Defence and Civil Aviation Ministries, which would evolve a clear policy to remove overlapping of jurisdiction, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel told reporters in New Delhi after the Cabinet meeting.
