The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Governor along with an affidavit by Kamla Bai and her husband Prakash that mentioned that they feared for their lives.

The memorandum alleged the police played a questionable role in the entire turn of incidents and even prevented Prakash from meeting Kamla Bai during her long stay in hospital in Bhopal despite them writing application to the Chief Minister in the matter. The couple could finally meet when they both went back to Nigri village.
