“The State Government is not capable enough to provide salaries to thousands of employees of the Karamchari Kalyan Nigam, Jal Nigam, Minorities Finance Corporation etc,” he alleged while talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday.
He said besides the salaries, the State Government was not providing pensions, gratuity and provident fund to retired employees of these corporations.
“Instead of providing salaries and other benefits to the employees of these corporations, the State Government is spending a lot of money to the capitalists and artists on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Development Council,” he alleged.
Shukla alleged that about a dozen employees committed suicide across the State due to the economic crisis. Daily wagers and labourers did not feel secure in the regime of the SP Government, he added.
