A powerful grenade exploded in a shop at Khuyathong market in the Manipur capital on Saturday but no injury was reported.

Official sources said two miscreants came on a two wheeler and threw the grenade at the shop at around 9.55 am but no one sustained injuries.

Police have launched investigation into the explosion.

In another incident, unidentified gunmen shot dead a person at Sagolband Bijoy Govind area in Imphal west district late on Friday night, the sources said.
