Gurgaon to have new buses in Aug

The Haryana transport department will add 50 low-floor air-conditioned CNG buses for the Gurgaon city bus service. The buses will start plying on roads in August, raising the number in the Gurgaon fleet to 160.

Arun Kumar, director general, state transport, said first 10 buses had already arrived and would be put in operation by next week.

"Another batch of 10 buses is ready and will arrive by first week of August. At present, Haryana roadways is plying 110 buses on 15 routes and each bus is doing two shifts. These buses cover about 23,000km a day and carry about a lakh passengers,'' Kumar said.
