Hardcore criminal gunned down at Pratapgarh station

Pal, a resident of Neeva under Dhumanganj police station was a terror for people. The encounter took place early Wednesday morning. A team led by CO, crime, Rahul Srivastava had been trailing the outlaw. They were tipped-off that Pal had plans to leave for Lucknow by an inter-city train early morning.
Seeing the cops, Pal and his accomplice tried to escape from the platform after firing at the police which returned the fire. The killed outlaw had more than a dozen cases against him. A .315 bore countrymade pistol was recovered from his possession.
This was the ninth encounter by the SOG during the past one year, said Rajeshwar Singh who had been working under the direction of SP City RPS Yadav.
Rakesh Pal was a constant threat to Pooja Pal, wife of slain BSP MLA Raju Pal.
Rakesh had even allegedly made a murderous attack on Pooja Pal. A cop, on condition of anonymity, said a criminal turned MP was on the brink of using Rakesh Pal to get Pooja Pal eliminated. This politician had even promised a sum of Rs 25 lakh to Rakesh. Rakesh Pal had even attacked some cops who had gone to arrest him when Pooja Pal had made a distress call.
