Haryana bags award for best innovation in economy

Haryana has, for the second consecutive year, bagged the Institute for Competitiveness-Mint state competitiveness award-2013 for being the best state in the 'innovation in economy' category.

Haryana has, for the second consecutive year, bagged the Institute for Competitiveness-Mint state competitiveness award-2013 for being the best state in the 'innovation in economy' category.

Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda received the award presented by vice-president M Hamid Ansari at a function in New Delhi on Wednesday evening. The award has been instituted by the

Institute for Competitiveness and the HT Media Group.Thanking the organisers for choosing Haryana, Hooda said that this was an honour for the people of Haryana.

Hooda said there was no competition among the states as each state was unique and had its own strengths. On the progress of Haryana, Hooda said the progress of any state or nation was measured on the basis of four parameters - per capita income, per capita investment, per capita plan budget and resource mobilisation. “Haryana was leading in all these four parameters,” he added.
