Batting first, Haryana’s Pradeep Sahu (47), Joginder Sharma (45), Ankit Rawat (33) and Prateek Pawar (33) chipped in with useful contributions to help the team post a modest 189.

For Himachal, Kuldeep Diwan was pick of the bowlers, picking up a five-wicket haul.

Chasing the modest target, Himachal put up a miserable show and were bowled out for mere 88 runs.

Sanjay Budhwar (4-27) and Joginder Sharma (2 for 16) nipped their chase in the bud itself.

Brief scores: Haryana 188 all out (Joginder Sharma 45, Ankit Rawat 33, Prateek Pawar 33; Kuldeep Diwan 5/40) beat HPCA 88 all out (Paras Dogra 25, Sanjay Badhwar 4/27, Joginder Sharma 2/16).
