HC rejects Sadhu Yadav's anticipatory bail plea

The Patna High Court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail petition of RJD MP Aniruddh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav in the flood relief scam case.

Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad, who had adjourned the hearing on Yadav's petition on May 1, dismissed the anticipatory bail plea after hearing the defence counsel and the prosecution.

Sadhu Yadav, the Lok Sabha MP from Gopalganj, is the brother-in-law of RJD president and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.

Yadav is accused of having received slush funds in the Rs 17 crore flood relief scam in which funds meant for distributing relief among flood victims in Bihar districts in 2004 were swindled.
