The student, hailing from Morena, claimed that his position in DMAT 2006 merit list was 215 and on basis of this he was allotted R D Gardi Medical College, Ujjain. But, when the petitioner went to the college, he was denied admission for not furnishing bank guarantee of Rs 10 lakh.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice A K Patnaik and Justice S C Sinho heard the petitioner’s counsel P Kaurav before issuing notices.
Kaurav argued that the entire records of the college related to MBBS admission should be summoned before the court for verification to ascertain how many meritorious students had being denied admission and how many students have got in by paying hefty amounts.
