The Delhi High Court will take up for hearing on wednesday the appeal filed by Delhi Police challenging the acquittal of Manu Sharma and eight others in the sensational Jessica Lall murder case.
The matter would come up for hearing before a Division Bench of Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice Manju Goel.
The appeal filed under apparent public pressure has sought conviction of the accused on the ground that the trial court erred in acquitting them based on "mere conjectures and surmises."
The 44-page appeal has listed as many as 92 grounds on which the trial judge's acquittal should be quashed.
