HCC Q3 net profit up by 81.6%

Hindustan Construction Company reported a whopping increase of 81.6 per cent in its net profit to Rs 22.66 crore.

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd on Friday reported a whopping increase of 81.6 per cent in its net profit to Rs 22.66 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 12.48 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The turnover of the company also moved up by 22.2 per cent to Rs 461.86 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 377.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, HCC said in a statement.

For the nine month-period ended December 31, 2005 the net profit grew by 184.24 per cent to Rs 80.98 crore as against Rs 28.49 crore in the year ago period.

The company's turnover during the same period increased by 19.13 per cent to Rs 1,253.05 crore as compared to Rs 1,051.77 crore in the same period last fiscal.
