Bedi, who is currently lodged in Chanchalguda central jail, is facing charges in a passport forgery case.

Justice TCH Surya Rao adjourned the case to March 2 to enable public prosecutor for CBI to appear in the matter.

When the bail application was moved in the court, a junior advocate appearing for CBI informed that their counsel was stranded in Chennai and could not make it to the city.

However, the counsel for the petitioner S Pradeep Kumar said the CBI was seeking adjournment on flimsy grounds.

Bedi, extradited from Portugal along with Salem in November last year, was brought to the city on November 11.

She is facing charges of securing a passport under fictitious name from Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
