Experts from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) were surprised to see the physique of Khundrakpam Pradipkumar, the winner of the recently held Mr Manipur title in the 60-kg category. The reason — Pradipkumar is HIV-positive. On drugs since 2000 when he was diagnosed with the virus, the 37-year-old body builder is now preparing for the 48th National Senior Mr India from June 20-22 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. “I am happy since I am getting a chance to compete on a national level despite being an HIV-positive,” Pradipkumar told Hindustan Times on Friday.
