Top Hollywood stars Val Kilmer and Rosario Dawson are likely to attend the coming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here, Festival Director Neelam Kapur said on Tuesday.
IFFI which would also have a talent hunt section, she told reporters here.
"Talks are on with Kilmer and Dawson to attend the closing ceremony of the festival as it features their film `Alexander'. Their attendance is, however, not yet confirmed", Kapur said.
This year, the festival would attempt a new experiment in the form of a talent hunt named `Twenty Four Seven'.
"The participants should be below 24 years of age and would be given a camera and editing equipment and would have to make a fiction film on the theme `Nature and Violence'. The two such best films would be given special award on the closing night," she said.
Claiming that this talent hunt would help in providing a platform for freshers, Kapur said one of two winners would be given an opportunity to make a short film for Zee television.
On the films to be featured at the festival, she said in the classical section, two David Lee movies, `Lawrence of Arabia' and `Bridge on the river Kwai' would be screened.
IFFI `04, from Nov 29-Dec 10, would also see the premiere of noted filmaker Buddadev Dasgupta's latest venture `Swapan Din' (Chasing Dreams).
Kapur also said that since local theatres were not upto the mark as far as public screenings of Festival movies were concerned, a decision had been taken to sell 20 per cent of the seats in multiplex to the public at a subsidised rate so as to enable them to be a part of the festival.
