Huge cache of arms and ammunition found in J&K

Security forces have busted 3 terrorist hideouts and recovered 5 kg explosives in Poonch and Doda districts of J&K.

Security forces have busted three terrorist hideouts and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including 5 Kg explosives, in Poonch and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir since Monday evening, official sources said on Tuesday.

Security forces during search operation busted a terrorist hideout at Bada Pathar in Sabjian area of Poonch district and recovered one AK-56 rifle with a magazine and 153 rounds, one Chinese pistol with four rounds, 17 UBGL grenades and 23 Chinese grenades, they said.

Another hideout was busted at Bhatsan in Doda district and recoveries from it yielded 15 gelatin sticks, three feet safety fuse and one plastic container.

In the same district they also busted a hideout and recovered from it 5 Kg explosive (white gel), 20 rounds of AK ammunition, one plastic container and one kg of wire nails.
