Prakash left after handing over charge of the district to an ADM.

The district magistrate was called to Saifai by the minister during his visit there on Friday and was given a dressing down for not complying with the directives to declare the SP nominee a winner in the election, in which the BJP candidate defeated the SP nominee by a margin of 600 votes.

Sources in Mainpuri confirmed that Chandra Prakash had indeed gone on long leave but neither the district magistrate nor the ADM, who was handed over the charge, could be contacted for their comments.
