The government had sent out an alert last year about the possibility of two Lashkar-e-Taiba cadres infiltrating the Indian Air Force. However, the IAF stated that no infiltrators were found after checks.

The alert had gone out in a letter written to the state government last year by National Security Adviser MK Narayanan about intelligence inputs that some members of the Pak-based LeT could have infiltrated the armed forces.
The Indian Air Force, however, negated this possibility on Friday saying it had carried out elaborate vetting process of its personnel and had not found any infiltration.
“We have scanned the system and haven’t found any (infiltration), “an IAF spokesman said, adding, “Such scans will be repeated.”
The BJP has, however, demanded that the government come out with a statement on the report and demanded stern measures.
