Unidentified attackers had thrown acid on a girl near Law College Tawheedabad, Nowshera on December 11.

According to police, the investigating team had got several leads and investigators were working round the clock to solve the case as soon as possible. The IGP directed the SIT that different teams that have fanned out in all directions should track down guilty at the earliest. The IGP sought a daily briefing from the investigators with regard to the progress and developments of the case.

He emphasised that besides a professional requirement to nab the culprits, it was a challenge to our moral consciousness to eradicate this menace from our society.
