IIM-A board to discuss seat expansion tomorrow

The Board of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad will meet in Ahmedabad on Friday afternoon to discuss the issue of seat expansion.

The meeting is significant following the release of the final report on Wednesday, in which Veerappa Moily-led Oversight Committee has suggested 27 per cent reservation for the Other Backward Castes (OBCs). With this, IIMs would need to expand seats by 54 per cent in order to retain the present level of general seats.
