The enactment of "Domestic Violence Act" may not eradicate the menace altogether but will deter the perpetrators to some extent. The law will serve its purpose only when women are educated and a greater awareness is created so that the victims approach the authorities without reluctance and fear for further harassment. Equally important is to plug the loopholes in the law to avoid any frivolous complaints to wreck vengeance on their male counterparts.

The law will serve its purpose only when the women are educated sufficiently and a greater awareness is created among the women so that the victims approach the authorities without reluctance and fear for further harassment.
