India - fiefdom of crooks!

Let us all hang our heads in shame for having allowed our society to degenerate into such a pathetic fiefdom of crooks and criminals. What at all, is the relevance of any amount of progress or development, which we might manage to achieve as a country in economic terms, if in the process, our society ends up losing its basic moral fibre? What indeed, is the justification for the very existence of a state if it fails miserably to provide the very basic safety to even the most innocent of its citizens - its children.
